S.P.A.R.K. Start is the Canadian Yachting Association's (CYA) accredited Canadian Coast Guard boating safety course. This course was developed to meet the federal legislation that came into effect April 1, 1999 regarding boater competency regulations. Did you know that any pleasure craft powered by a motor over 10 hp (7.5 kW) must have a valid license? A pleasure craft license allows search and rescue personnel and other agencies to quickly identify your boat in the event of an emergency. New requirements for safety equipment and pleasure craft licensing came out on May 12, 2010. To find out how these new requirements may affect you, we recommend that you check out this information. Youth & Adults welcome to join $100.00 |
